Organizing a trader's work, how to start your working day
Working as a trader has long been the dream of many people; feature films about successful stock market players have played an important role in the polarization of the profession.
Moreover, the majority of those who want to make a career on the stock exchange are attracted not only by the size of the monetary reward, but also by the opportunity to work without management and whenever they want.
But freelancing, and it is precisely this type of organization of the work process that modern trading can be classified as, has both its advantages and significant disadvantages.
You don't have to go to work, but at the same time you are always at home, and home is perceived as a place to relax, and not as a work office.
At one time, I also encountered a number of problems that I had to deal with while working, so I gained some experience that I want to share with novice traders on organizing trading at home.
How to organize a trader’s workplace and time
It only seems at first glance that such issues as time and place of work are not particularly important for a freelancer, but in fact, these are the most important points.
The workplace should be located where no one will disturb you from concentrating and making the right decision.
In addition, a work stop should be created, because take my word for it, the table in the kitchen stimulates more thoughts about the products in the refrigerator than about technical analysis.
Ideally, the workplace should be located outside your apartment, but if this is not possible, then at least in a separate room.
Equipment – at first it is recommended to use a computer or laptop, since with such equipment it is much easier to master all the technical aspects of trading:
There are no special power requirements, since the metatrader trading platform is not a resource-intensive program. It is clear that if you are using an old laptop with Windows XP for work, then problems cannot be avoided.
The working day - everything is individual here, the main thing is to alternate work time with breaks for rest, study and sports.
For example, my working day begins at 4-5 in the morning and reviewing the news on the basis of which decisions on medium-term investments are made.
Then it’s time for breakfast and water procedures, after eating another two hours of work - opening short-term transactions based on technical analysis:
Next comes a break for morning training, which, followed by a shower, takes an hour and a half, since I have a small gym at home.
From about 10 to 1 pm it’s time to trade again and time to study, because even after 10 years of trading you learn something new.
After lunch, it's time to do household chores - managing household finances, shopping, spending time with family. It should be noted that it is not always possible to adhere to a clear schedule; a rough daily plan is the basis on which the work process is built.
But the most important thing in our work is to force ourselves to get up early in the morning and get down to business, when no one needs to account for the result and no one demands fulfillment of their duties.
