Is it worth becoming a trader?
Before trying your hand at forex trading, it's a good idea to understand: Is becoming
a trader worth it? How attractive is this profession, and wouldn't it be better to invest your energy in something simpler?
Dealing centers often only highlight the positive aspects of forex trading, obscuring the true essence of the matter.
Therefore, it's a good idea to understand the challenges you'll face if you choose to become a trader, and what will serve as additional incentives.
Now, let's take things in order.
• Everyone loses – I have never met a trader who traded without losses in the first couple of months; almost 100% of beginners lose their first deposit. Therefore, you shouldn’t risk your entire capital the first time.
• Only a few become professionals – quite a lot of people I know have tried trading on Forex at least once. And only a few have become professional traders; you shouldn’t count on a guaranteed income in a year, two, or three; no one will give you such guarantees here.
• Constant stress – you will subconsciously pay attention to any news and analyze how it will affect the exchange rate. A trader has no such concept as a weekend, when you can completely forget about work on Saturday and Sunday. Thoughts about new strategies and tactics are always spinning in your head.
• Pressure from others – working on Forex is often perceived as gambling, which leads to a negative attitude from others – what I don’t understand, I condemn. Opinions will change only after you start earning a lot, but the aftertaste will remain.
But it's not all gloom and doom, there are some positive aspects.
• No need to go to work – I've already forgotten what it's like to commute to the other side of town at 7 a.m., 5 days a week, regardless of ice, rain, or snow. A flexible schedule also offers a host of other benefits and bonuses – visiting the pool when it's practically empty, getting enough sleep, going fishing not on weekends, but when the fish are biting.
• No job – a month at the seaside with your family, what could be better, and all without leaving your trading terminal? If you want, you can travel around the world with your laptop, the main thing is to have a stable internet connection.
• Money – that's why we all come to Forex, you can really make money here, I won't say it's easy or fast, but it's real. Problems with paying for utilities, buying groceries, and other things simply disappear. You can now buy a decent car in a few months. Even with a relatively small capital, Forex trading yields profits comparable to a small business.
This is what being a trader truly is, and whether or not you choose it is entirely up to you.
