Asian Forex session.
This period is the operating time for trading venues such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, and
Singapore. Recently, Australia has increasingly been included in the Asian trading session.
The list of trading venues immediately reveals the dominant currencies at this time: the Japanese yen, the Australian dollar, the Hong Kong dollar, and, accordingly, the Singapore dollar.
The Asian Forex session starts at 3:00 AM Moscow time and ends at 1:00 PM, with the end of the Asian trading session overlapping with the European session. Therefore, if you want to trade exclusively in Asia, try to close your trades before 10:00 AM.
Morning hours are the Japanese Yen's dominant time. This is the session when news on this currency should be expected, meaning sharp changes in its exchange rate. The Yen is suitable for those who prefer risky trading or news strategies .
However, if you prefer a more relaxed approach, then the morning hours offer a low-risk option for currency pairs that include European or American currencies but exclude the Yen.
Examples include CADCHF, EURCAD, EURGBP, EURUSD, USDCAD, and other similar options. The secret lies in the fact that during this time, government and banking institutions in Europe and America are closed, the exchange rates of these countries are more or less stable, and the trend maintains established trends.
I have repeatedly traded and continue to trade EURUSD during the Asian Forex session. Thanks to the low spread on this currency pair, I can sometimes apply scalping , with trade profitability typically being twice as high as in other Forex sessions.
Moreover, this session always begins a new week, so be extremely careful and accurately assess the opening moment, whether a price gap has occurred over the weekend, and if so, in what direction. This will help you avoid losses when the gap closes.
