What to choose for training – demo or cent account?
In order to test a new strategy or simply study the technical aspects of trading, there is no need to immediately risk large sums, it is advisable to use a cent or demo account for these purposes.
Each of these accounts has its own advantages and disadvantages, and is designed to perform its own tasks, which is why it is so important to use each of the options for its intended purpose.
A demo account is used solely for practicing technical trading skills in a trader’s terminal; you should not expect that thanks to it you will learn how to trade on a real exchange.
The main disadvantage of a demo account is that there is no risk, even if minimal.
Many traders who successfully trade on training accounts quickly lose their deposits on real ones, the main reason for this phenomenon is a different perception of reality.
It’s one thing to use real money and quite another to move virtual millions. Cent accounts are another matter ; you can normally trade on them only with a deposit of several tens of dollars; a smaller amount significantly reduces the number of options for strategies used.
This is already real money, which is a pity to lose; the trader fully feels the beauty of trading and receives excellent preparation for trading with substantial capital. From this we can conclude that first we study all the aspects of the operation of the trading terminal on a demo account, and then we use a cent account, which serves as the main training ground for a novice trader. It is highly not recommended to immediately switch to trading on standard accounts.
