Blessing Advisor
Trading expert Blessing is a unique development of Western programmers. This expert is a unique grid operator who uses the well-known risk management as martingale. The uniqueness is that this expert is based on such indicators as MACD, Stochastic, Moving Average, CCI, Bollinger Bands.
Each of these indicators can be used individually, but can also be combined to create your own trading strategies based on standard indicators. I think many were looking for an advisor with whom you could realize your knowledge and skills. This expert allows you to create something of your own, special, without knowing a programming language.
This expert’s reputation is also enhanced by his long development path. Work on the expert began for the first time in 2007 and continues to this day. I would like to note that the developers never took money or sold it, and all this time this miracle was made available to the public absolutely free of charge.
Due to its specification, the advisor can be used on any currency pair and on any working chart. The developers constantly share with us settings for the euro/dollar, pound/dollar and euro/franc currency pairs. However, according to the author, this expert can be adjusted for profitable trading on absolutely any currency pair.
Setting up and installing the Blessing advisor
Before you start testing and setting up the advisor, you need to install it in your Meta Trader 4 trading terminal. To do this, download the archive with the advisor at the end of the article. In the trading terminal, go to the file tab and open the data directory. Place the downloaded advisor in the expert folder. After restarting the trading terminal, it should appear in the list of advisors. Next, you just need to drag the advisor onto the currency pair you want to trade. You will see the following settings menu with information about which will be posted a little below:
The authors put in so many settings that if I decided to describe everything, it would take at least five articles. Most of them are visually understandable for experienced users, but I will still attach a full manual from the developers along with the advisor. Since the advisor uses martingale, the developers have introduced a loss limitation function. The advisor closes all orders when a certain drawdown level is reached. To change this level, write down your maximum allowable drawdown in the MaxDDpercent line. As I mentioned earlier, in the settings you can enable or disable this or that indicator. In order to enable the indicator in the settings, set 1 opposite its name, and if you want to turn it off, set 0. We look at the example in the picture:
Each indicator has its own block, where you can set a specific indicator period, shift, etc. In addition, the settings include such basic settings as lot (Lot), multiplication coefficient in case of a losing position (multiplier), the maximum number of simultaneously open orders (Max Order), as well as various settings for managing the order grid.
Offhand, I changed a couple of parameters and ran a test on the pound/dollar pair on the hourly chart. The testing period is from June 1, 2014 to May 29, 2014. In the strategy, only the moving average worked, and only the multiplication factor was changed. You can see the result in the picture below:
In fact, the Expert Advisor is very difficult to configure.
However, such complexity provides an opportunity to realize your ideas regarding trading with standard indicators. The ability to combine indicators will allow you, by changing a couple of settings, to switch from a trending market to flat trading and vice versa. Of course, this expert is a little complicated for beginners, but for those who have encountered advisors not for the first time, I highly recommend it. Thanks for your attention, good luck!
