FOREX WARRIOR – an underrated advisor

By tradition, today I want to share with you another test of the expert, which we reviewed in the Forex Advisors section. Initially, I had a bias towards the FOREX WARRIOR
Simply put, all the spoken and unspoken rules of money management told me to avoid this expert advisor. However, after reading some user reviews about how testing in the strategy tester is very different from real trading, I personally wanted to crash test the expert advisor in real-world conditions.
As a reminder, the essence of the expert advisor is that it builds a grid of buy-limit and sell-limit orders. However, it's not a single grid; a basket of grids is formed. If the order basket doesn't close profitably, then loss averaging begins. The preliminary test I conducted in the strategy tester looks like this:
To test the expert advisor under trading conditions as close as possible, a demo account was opened with a deposit of 10,000, which is equivalent to a typical cent account of $100. Since we frequently test the expert advisor, we rented a VPS server , allowing the expert advisor to be in the market 24/7. The expert advisor test began on July 15, 2015, and ended on July 27, 2015, on the EUR/USD currency pair on a five-minute chart. The test results can be seen in the image below:
Despite this being a typical martingale, the test results are truly impressive. Over eight working days, the expert managed to gain 28% in profit, with the maximum drawdown reaching six percent.
If you've reviewed the preliminary test in the strategy tester, you'll notice that in the tester, we achieved a profit of 30% over a full six months, while in real time, the same profit was achieved in just eight days! Analyzing the report reveals that the expert advisor executed 47 trades in this short period of time, with 61.7% of them profitable. The profit factor, 2.67, also speaks volumes about the expert advisor's profitability.
Personally, I've often encountered discrepancies between the results of a preliminary test and a demo account test. However, this is the first time I've encountered a real-time test being so much more profitable than the strategy tester, as my experience shows that the opposite is usually true.
