FOREX SETKA TRADER – an expert worthy of attention!
Greetings, dear visitors of the "Expert Advisor Testing" section. Today, I'd like to share the results of testing one of the most popular grid-based advisors, FOREX SETKA TRADER.
There's been much discussion about this robot, but almost all of it is backed by monitoring and testing on real accounts that are at least six months old. However, our team never takes anyone's word for it, especially since we have the ability to conduct real-world tests on our VPS server.
I'd like to remind you that FOREX SETKA TRADER is a typical grid-based advisor, placing orders in the direction of price movement, and if the price moves in the opposite direction, averaging occurs—in other words, martingale.
We previously reviewed this expert advisor in the "Forex Advisors" section, so you can find more detailed information on optimizing the settings and its technical features in the article " FOREX SETKA TRADER ." I also ran a preliminary test of the expert advisor in the strategy tester, the results of which you can see below:
To ensure optimal testing results, we installed the expert advisor on a VPS server , which allowed us to run it 24/7 without any intervention on our part. As stated in the expert advisor's instructions, a demo account with $10,000 was opened, equivalent to $100 on a cent account.
The test began on July 15, 2015, and ended on July 29, 2015. The expert advisor traded the minimum lot size on the EUR/USD pair on a one-minute chart. You can see the test results in the image below:
Comparing the two charts from the preliminary test in the strategy tester and the test under real trading conditions reveals a dramatic difference in the demo test, as the growth chart appears smoother, with no significant drawdowns and a good increase in profits.
During this short test period, the expert advisor generated a 5% profit, while the drawdown did not even reach 1% of the deposit. In total, the expert advisor executed 51 trades, with a total winning percentage of 58.8%, demonstrating the expert advisor's viability and profitability.
Importantly, the expert advisor has a relatively high profit factor of 5.13, while for martingale trading it typically does not exceed 2.
Overall, the test results of FOREX SETKA TRADER left a good impression, so my team and I can recommend it for trading on a cent account .
Keep in mind that the expert advisor is based on martingale trading, so you should have a sufficient deposit (at least $200-$300 on mini accounts) to confidently withstand any drawdown. You can find other advisors in the section http://time-forex.com/sovetniki
