Manager Louis Bacon. A true connoisseur of nature

Many successful people, businessmen, traders and investors show their love for Mother Nature in their own unique way.

Some people cut down forests while boasting of thousands of dollars in donations for cleaning up garbage and planting new seedlings, while others actually sponsor various environmental projects and remain in the shadows.

Louis Bacon, being a successful billionaire manager, is one of the leaders in the field of environmental philanthropy.

Moreover, he is the founder of a special fund that invests in young and promising projects aimed at protecting the environment.

The life path of this billionaire, a trader and manager by profession, can become an excellent example to follow not only among novice traders, but also for any person who is thinking about his future.

Louis Bacon was born on July 25, 1956. He spent his entire childhood in Raleigh, North Carolina.

It is worth noting that Louis grew up in a very wealthy family, since his father was the owner and founder of the real estate company Bacon & Co.

Later, his father worked at Merrill Lynch, which made it possible to provide for Louis Bacon’s family and education at a high level.

Louis Bacon graduated from a private Episcopal boarding school in Alexandria, after which he attended Middlebury College. Graduating from college allowed me to receive a bachelor's degree in literature.

The most interesting thing is that a complete change in life position and the emergence of a craving for financial markets occurred after meeting the then famous trader Walter Frank, when Louis was on a fishing boat, earning money for his living.

There the characteristic future traits of the trader were noticed, for which he was invited to work at Walter N. Frank & Co. After a simple internship, Louis took a fresh look at his education and enrolled at Columbia University to pursue an MBA.

By the way, while a student, Louis Bacon made his first attempt to become a businessman. So he took out a loan at a very small interest rate and began to actively buy and resell goods.

The experience turned out to be negative, so the father had to borrow a lot of money to pay off the debts and, at least somehow, help the grief-stricken student finish his studies.

After graduating from Columbia, Louis Bacon got a job at Bankers Trust, but very soon returned to his acquaintance at Walter N. Frank & Co.

There he had a responsible mission to carry out hedging operations on the foreign exchange market, and soon he managed to get a job at the Cotton Exchange as a liaison who carried out orders from clients and the company.

The talents of the young trader and broker were noticed at Shearson Lehman Brothers, where Louis eventually moved. He was invited to Shearson Lehman Brothers as a trader to trade futures.

Successful trading performance very quickly raised him up the career ladder, so he soon became vice president of the sales department. futures trading.

In 1989, Louis decided to go out on his own and created Moore Capital Management LLC, and later, with the help of his father’s inheritance of $25 thousand, the fund was transformed into Moore Global Investments.

It is worth noting that Bacon was doing very well, since in the first year the fund showed a return of 80 percent, which was simply a huge sum at that time.

He, like no one else, was able to trade on important events and predict crises. Just look at the fact that the prediction has come true about the future of sending troops to Iraq and the new war in which the United States will enter.

Thanks to his ability to predict crisis events, in just a few minutes, a sum of more than $8 billion was concentrated in the hands of Louis Bacon.

In 1992, Louis Bacon created a charitable foundation, which began to deal investing to non-profit environmental projects. Several million dollars were transferred to some of them.

Today, Louis Bacon's fortune is estimated at 1.4 billion US dollars, which allowed him to take one of the places of honor on the Forbes list of the richest people in the world.
