For many, Bill William has become a kind of idol, since he is probably the first person who so
openly described the history of his journey, shared some trading rules and at the same time revealed his own trading strategy to the whole world.
Most traders who publish books on trading only partially share their own strategy, but Bill is too open a person to hide anything. His books are still used for training, and his trading strategy has been adopted by millions of traders around the world. Don't believe me?

Investors Dream is a program based on the trading strategy of Bill Williams, with which you can test and try the trading strategy in action on various currency pairs, futures or stocks. Installing the program is not particularly difficult, so after downloading the program at the end of the article, simply indicate the installation path and begin the installation.
After the first launch of the program, a window with visual display settings will appear in front of you, as well as the ability to select the instrument you are interested in. All trading instruments are divided into groups, namely, you have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the list of stocks, futures, and indices. After you have opened one of the categories, click on the name of the asset on which you would like to try the trading strategy.
In the right column you can set the number of bars that need to be loaded for viewing on history, specify a certain period, and also specify the number of bars that will be shown on the chart.
You can also immediately select the time frame of the asset. You have access to both minute and daily, weekly and monthly charts. It is also possible to set the required time frame in minutes. See the picture below for more details:
Since the quotes are clearly out of date, you can download your own data from a more recent period for a more adequate test. The data required for the program is collected using a script in the MT4 trading terminal, and then loaded in the same way as the main tools through the root directory.
Having launched the asset you need, it will immediately appear on the chart with the Bill Williams indicators installed by default.
Investors Dream is primarily a training program on Bill Williams' trading strategy, which allows you to see the effectiveness of a trading strategy on various assets. In order to move the quotes forward and new bars appear, there are arrows resembling a player in the lower left corner.
When you click on the arrow, one bar is drawn. The second way to make quotes move is to hold down the left mouse button and drag the chart to the right, but very often due to such actions the chart narrows or moves to the side. Take a closer look at the picture below:
In order to change the color and settings of the indicators, right-click on the screen and call the “Indicators Properties” menu. A menu with tabs with the name of the indicators will appear in front of you. When switching to a specific indicator, you can change the color and period of the indicator, which will allow you to deviate from the original strategy incorporated into the program.
If you are not used to working on a chart in the form of bars, then do not despair; by entering the “Chart properties” menu, you can change the chart to a candlestick chart and customize the desktop to the view that is convenient for you.
