Installing the program
Unfortunately, VolFix with its full functionality is distributed to traders only on a paid basis, and the developers charge from 65 to 200 dollars per month for using their development, depending on what markets the trader wants to work with and what content interests him.
However, in order to evaluate the functionality of the platform and understand whether it is worth dealing with it at all, you can use demo access, which can be obtained on the official website.
After you enter your contact information in the registration form, you will be sent a notification by email containing login and password information, as well as download links.
The VolFix installation process itself is identical to installing the MT4 trading terminal or another program.
Namely, you just need to run the installation file, agree to the license agreement and indicate the installation location on your computer. After logging into the program for the first time after launching the terminal for the first time, you will get something like this interface:
Introduction to VolFix
VolFix is primarily an analytical platform for volume analysis, therefore, unlike other terminals, there are no standard technical indicators, but only analytical data purely on VSA.
One of the shortcomings that will immediately catch your eye is the lack of Russian language skills; therefore, it will take you a little longer to master the platform.
The key functionality of the platform that a trader should use is located in the upper left corner of the chart, which can be activated by clicking on the “Component” button, thus calling up an additional menu.
It is worth noting that the platform supports several types of charts, namely Tick Cluster, Cluster Charts, Combo Bar Charts, and a number of other charts that would allow you to work directly with the market profile and volumes.
In the “Component” block, you can enter directly into the trading module by selecting “Order Window” from the list.
Buttons for opening positions are located directly on the right side of the chart. VolFix has a very flexible system for opening positions. If the standard system for opening market orders is familiar to everyone, then thanks to the automatic opening mode you can significantly save your time since the platform will automatically enter profit, trailing stop and stop order according to predefined parameters.
In the “Component” menu you can also see the “Social” menu block, thanks to which you can activate a chat and communicate with fellow traders, look at published news for a certain period of time, and also look at the news calendar and your own statistics. In order to launch a menu with data
on news, you need to select “News” in the menu, then specify the time interval and use the additional menu to select “Apply”.
After clicking on the title of the news on the right side of the table, you can read the news itself in detail. You will end up with a table that looks like this:
In conclusion, it is worth noting that in volume analysis, the VolFix terminal simply has no equal.
However, due to the complex interface and the lack of Russian language, many beginners will find it extremely difficult to understand the functionality, not to mention the price, which clearly does not encourage them to start getting acquainted with the terminal.
