Forex holidays in 2019

2018 is coming to an end, and as always, we warn our readers about holidays when the Forex exchange will be closed or will operate with restrictions.

This information is important for several reasons. Firstly, during holidays, liquidity for all trading assets is significantly reduced, leading to widening spreads.

Secondly, a swap is charged on open trades for rolling positions over the next 24 hours, and since there may be many days off, the commission will be significant.

Also, with the 2019 New Year holidays and related changes to Forex trading,

December 24, 2018, is the day before Christmas. Trading for some assets may be suspended before 12:30 PM, so it's advisable to close all trades before then.
