Currency pairs for scalping.
The key feature of Forex trading is that every detail matters—or rather, there
are no details in trading. For example, choosing the right currency pair for scalping can significantly increase your profits.
The secret lies in the balance between trading volumes, the number of trades, and the spread.
To illustrate, let's give a simple example: you're trading a currency pair with a spread of 2 pips (or $20), your deposit is $1,000, and your average trade volume is 1 lot.
Thirty trades were opened during the day, resulting in a total trading volume of 30 lots, for which a commission of $600 was paid. Imagine that you chose a Forex spread with a spread of just 1 pip per lot. Your profit would immediately increase by $300, and that's with conservative scalping, and even more
pipsing For this reason, in short-term trading, it's best to use scalping currency pairs, i.e., instruments with the lowest commission and spread. Furthermore, the most favorable trading times for each instrument should be considered.
Suitable currency pairs for scalping and trading times:
EURUSD is the most suitable currency pair for short-term trading, especially if it has a floating spread , which can sometimes drop to 0.1-0.2 pips. The recommended trading time is the Asian trading session.
USDJPY has a floating spread starting from 0.2 pips, fixed from 1 pip, and is best suited for trading during the European trading session.
USDCAD typically starts with a commission of 0.5 pips and is suitable for trading during the European or Asian sessions.
GBPUSD also generally has a low spread, making scalping easier during the Asian session.
You can also use instruments such as AUDUSD, EURGBP, EURCHF, USDCHF, or other options for which your broker has set a minimum commission.
We select trading time depending on the scalping strategy. When trading on M15, you can trade on almost any session. For scalping, it's best to avoid the possibility of sharp price movements. That is, use forex trading sessions that are unlikely to release news on your currency pair for scalping.
