The Dynamic Pro Scalper trading expert is created based on a scalping strategy and trades in the evening.
I think many people have noticed that lately night scalpers have become very popular. This is due to the fact that during this period of time, after the end of the American trading session, the market becomes calmer and more predictable.
This market state is very convenient for advisors of this kind, so every year new experts appear who use this pattern in Forex.
To start working, the advisor must be installed in the trading terminal. Download the archive with the advisor inside at the end of the article and place it in the expert folder through the data directory in your terminal. Next, you should restart the terminal and drag the advisor from the list onto the screen.
The advisor is designed to work on nine major currency pairs. It is preferable to work with currency pairs such as euro/dollar, pound/dollar. The working time frame is a fifteen-minute chart. The Expert Advisor can work on other time frames, but you will have to reconfigure it.
To enter a position, the advisor uses a scalping strategy , which is based on building a channel that is clearly limited in time. In the advisor settings, in the Channel line, you can set or change the channel period. In the Auto Risk line you can set the risk percentage per position. You can also use a standard lot; to do this, indicate the desired lot in the Lots line, but the Auto Risk line must be left blank. In the Slipage line, you can set the maximum slippage of quotes at which the advisor can open a position.
Quite important in the advisor settings are the opening and closing time parameters. When you turn on the Auto GMT settings, the advisor itself will determine and adapt to the time zone. In the Start Trade Hour line you can specify what time the advisor will start trading, and in the End Trade Hour line you can specify the end time of trading. Another very important parameter is Min Volatility, on the basis of which the advisor measures the strength of market movement.
I decided to conduct the initial test of the advisor on the euro/dollar currency pair. The period was taken from 01/01/2015 to 05/13/2015. I left the advisor settings at default, so I didn’t even expect a positive result. All scalpers need to be regularly optimized, but this Expert Advisor has been doing this since 2013. The result is shown in the picture:
With the initial settings, the advisor did not fail and did not work. So I decided to optimize it. Optimization included such parameters as Channel, Profit and stop order. The optimization period took place from September 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. the most optimal result was selected and a forward test was conducted between 01/01/2015 and 05/13/2015. The result of preliminary testing is shown in the picture below:
Many argue that the era of overnight forex scalpers is over because the market has changed so much. But as you can see, with a slight optimization of the parameters, the advisor is ready for battle. Of course, the result is rather weak for a scalper, but there is hope that careful tuning will help improve the efficiency of this script.
