Advisor Combiner
The moving average indicator is one of the very first tools that was used in technical analysis,
Moreover, the facts of its use indicate that the indicator was popular long before the advent of online trading and various platforms.
Just think, a simple line that averages the price and makes its outline obvious can not only indicate the direction of the current trend, but also its reversal.
The deviation of price movement from the average value is the very anomaly on the basis of which dozens, if not hundreds, of different trading tactics are built.
It is not surprising that the moving average is often used as a basis for building various advisors, and in MT4, for example, there is an advisor based on it.
Advisor Combiner is a fairly simple trading expert who uses a variety of tools to make decisions entering the Forex market uses the well-known moving average, namely, opens positions when it breaks through.
This advisor can be used on any currency pair, as the robot is considered multi-currency. The choice of time frame also depends entirely on the trader's trading style and requirements, but since the strategy is based on trend-following strategies, it is recommended to use it on an hourly chart or higher.
Installation in a trading terminal
The Combiner Advisor is a custom development, so to use it, please go to the end of the article and download the advisor, then complete the full installation procedure for the robot on the trading platform.
There is nothing complicated about the installation process; the only thing you need to do is copy the downloaded advisor file to the appropriate directory in the terminal data directory.
To access the terminal's data directory, launch your trading terminal and click the File menu in the upper left corner. A list of options will appear, including "Data Directory," and click it.
After launching the catalog, you'll see a number of system folders. Find the folder named "expert" and drop the downloaded Combiner into it. Then close all folders and update the platform in the navigator panel, or simply restart the terminal.

After the update, Combiner will appear in the list of advisors. To start trading, simply drag the robot onto the hourly chart of your chosen currency pair.
Trading strategy of the Koybainer advisor. Settings
The Combiner Expert Advisor is based on a fairly simple strategy based on a moving average breakout. The expert advisor opens a buy position if the price breaks the moving average from below, and a sell position if the price breaks the moving average from above. It's worth noting that the expert uses a loss-shifting tactic: if the price doesn't close in profit, the expert places a pending order to average out losses.
If the advisor fails to recover from the loss, two orders remain open for better times, while the expert continues trading based on new signals.
Due to the cyclical nature of the market, orders will eventually close profitably, but to wait for this moment, you need to have a sufficient balance.

In the expert settings, you will find only five parameters that can be modified and affect the trading process.
So, in the Take Profit line, you can change the profit size in points. It's worth noting that the expert advisor is designed for five-digit quotes, so if you have four decimal places, then divide by 10.
In the Lots line, you can change the position volume the EA will use to open positions. Since the EA is a typical sit-in, we recommend trading with only the minimum lot size.
The Moving Period variable allows you to change the moving average period, and adjust its shift in the MovingShift line. The maxorder variable allows you to limit the number of open orders.
Backtesting in the Strategy Tester
As an experiment, we decided to test the entire 2016 EUR/USD currency pair on an hourly forex chart. The preliminary test results are below:

During the trading period, the advisor closed 45,000 transactions, while the growth of the initial capital at the end of the test amounted to more than 400 percent of the deposit.
The chart also shows that the balance and equity lines diverge significantly. Specifically, while the balance line showed a 900 percent increase, the equity line only showed a 400 percent increase. This disparity in the lines indicates that a very large number of orders are stuck in the red, and losses are being held out.
In conclusion, it's worth noting that the Combiner advisor is an extremely aggressive and dangerous scalper for your deposit, but at the same time, its potential profitability is comparable to its potential losses.
It is recommended to use it only with brokers for scalping.
