Integra Advisor
Integra is a unique development, a fully automatic trading expert that is capable of generating profit without any intervention from the trader. Integra actively announced itself literally at the end of 2012 and beginning of 2013, and the number of modifications that were created for this robot is probably greater only with Ilan .
An important factor that influenced the popularity of Integra was the big scandal of the developers and a number of accusations of plagiarism against the Aladdin developers.
The creators of Aladdin always surprised with new versions of the expert, but they went too far and simply renamed Integra and tried to sell it under their own brand.
Such scandals naturally remained and were noticed, and the very fact that sellers saw it as a profitable strategy persuaded thousands of traders to test the expert.
To get started, the expert must be installed in your Meta Trader 4 trading platform. To do this, download the archive with the indicator, library and the expert itself at the end of the article. Next, in your trading terminal, go to the file menu and open the data directory. Place the file ending in .dll in a folder called libraries, the indicator in the indicators folder, and the advisor in the expert folder. Next, you should restart the trading terminal so that it appears in the list of advisors. After restarting, enter the list of experts and drag Integra onto the price chart. A settings window will appear in front of you, which we will talk about below.
Integra uses a very simple trading algorithm to open positions in one direction or another. For this purpose, the advisor has two built-in indicators: CCI and moving average. In principle, the entry occurs according to the reading of the CCI indicator and the trend is determined by the moving average. In addition to this strategy, a regular martingale and position locking . Based on the strategy, we can conclude that the expert is multi-currency and can work on any time frame. However, most traders on various forums are inclined to use it on the five-minute chart on the euro/dollar and pound/dollar currency pairs.
The authors of the expert tried to put all the settings out there as much as possible, and the main blocks are labeled in Russian. Therefore, I will briefly go through the main settings, since they are already visually clear. In the “Setting distances” block in the PipStep line, you can change the distance in points between orders when averaging is triggered. In the settings block “CCI Settings” you can change the indicator period, the time frame on the basis of which the readings are taken (if the settings are 0, then the current one).
In the “MA Levels Filter” block, you can change the moving average parameter, as well as the deviation in points from the moving average to enter a position. Also, for the superstitious, the expert has a built-in time filter, bans on trading on Friday, etc. You can see all other settings as a separate attached file, which will be included with the Expert Advisor.
I decided to do the first test with default settings on the euro/dollar pair on the hourly time frame. The testing period is from January 1, 2015 to July 1, 2015. You can see the test result in the picture below:
I decided to do the second test on the pound/dollar currency pair, also on an hourly time frame . The test and setup period was left as in the previous version. The test result is shown in the picture below:
For trading on the pound/dollar currency pair, the settings are clearly outdated, so I recommend optimizing the distances between orders and the lot multiplier. In general, despite the age of the expert, it can be safely used on a cent account , but before working, I recommend conducting a detailed test and optimizing the parameters.
