Expert Fibo Martin. In history it’s the Grail, but in tests you can’t beat counting with a stick!

Greetings dear users of the site. Today we will talk about the test of the Fibo Martin . Previously, I did a detailed review of it in the advisors section, where a history test was carried out, and options for its optimization were also described.

During the test in the strategy tester, I saw its high performance, despite the fact that it is a rather risky martingale.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the good reviews on various forums, as well as his healthy criticism. After thinking about it, it was decided that a test would be carried out on a demo account.

For this important event, a demo account was opened, which simulated $100 on a cents account or $10,000 on a classic account. Since our team is constantly testing various experts, we rented a server for real-time robot testing. We decided to test the expert advisor with default settings on the EUR/USD currency pair on a five-minute chart. We began our testing on June 22, 2015.

Initially, the tool showed decent performance. Its operating principle was similar to a typical reversal tool: when a position was closed by a stop order, it reversed its entry order with a doubled lot size. However, this wasn't a simple reversal; it used pending orders built using Fibonacci levels. From June 22 to June 24, there was a significant increase of two and a half percent, which you can see in the image below:

However, starting on June 24, 2015, strange things began happening to the expert advisor. First, it opened the same lot a couple of times in a row, and then began significantly increasing the lot, clearly more than doubling it. This blatant farce on the robot's part couldn't go unpunished, and just a couple of days later, the result was as follows:

In just four days, the advisor lost almost 65 percent of my deposit. Frankly, not every newbie, inexperienced and completely new, can wipe out an account so quickly. A more detailed test is shown in the image below:

While trading, the account drawdown reached 67%, despite the winning percentage barely reaching 16%. Perhaps I overdid it with the default settings, but on the other hand, who can guarantee that after optimization, your account will vanish into oblivion like this one did in three days? In my opinion, the expert advisor brought only disappointment and wasted time, although it showed pleasing results in the strategy tester . If I rate the Fibo Martin expert advisor on a five-point scale, it's not even a two, so I don't recommend wasting your time on it. Of course, I'd like to surprise you only with pleasant tests and reviews, but a well-timed truth is better than a sweet lie. Thank you for your attention, and good luck!
