Solana: Price Forecast - How Much Can SOL Go Up?
Predicting price peaks is as important as understanding its "fair value". It is at the moments of local maximums that you can fix your profit.
For a volatile asset like Solana ($SOL), having a pre-planned sale plan can help keep emotions at bay.
You determine in advance the levels where the risk/reward ratio is optimal and prepare to sell at the best price.
What do we know about Solana now?
Solana's current all-time high (ATH) is around $294-$295, which was recorded in January 2025. This is our main target for the current cycle.
There are approximately 542 million SOL in circulation, and this is the number we will use to calculate the price based on market cap. Solana's current market cap is around $110-120 billion, with daily turnover exceeding $10 billion.
Network activity is growing: Solana is among the leaders in terms of the number of active addresses and the volume of funds locked (TVL). The main technology catalyst for 2025-2026 is Firedancer, a second validator client that will make the network more reliable and productive. Its launch in 2025 will increase trust in the network, including from large investors.
Three Possible Scenarios for Sol's Growth
We will forecast the price based on the possible capitalization using a simple formula: Price = Capitalization / Number of SOL in circulation.
- Baseline Scenario: Renewal of the Maximum
If the current network activity continues and Firedancer is gradually implemented, without any “super catalysts”, then the capitalization could reach $160-180 billion. In this case, the price for SOL will be $295-330. This level has already been confirmed in the current cycle, so it is quite achievable.
- Moderately Bullish Scenario: Large Investors Inflow
If the network grows steadily and large players join the Solana ecosystem (e.g. through investment funds or payment systems), the capitalization could increase to $200-260 billion. This would raise the price to $370-480. The triggers here would be tangible results from Firedancer and public statements from large companies about cooperation.
- Aggressive Scenario: The Perfect Storm
This scenario requires a combination of a strong bull market, a sharp increase in demand (e.g. due to gaming or DeFi), and perfect technological stability. Positive news about the creation of an ETF for Solana or other important regulatory changes are possible. Under such conditions, the capitalization could reach $300-350 billion, and the price - $550-650. However, this is the least likely option, requiring ideal conditions.
General forecast of Solana and practical advice
In 2025, the most likely corridor is $300-400. This forecast will come true if the network can withstand the growing load and Firedancer is successfully implemented. Updating the historical maximum seems to be quite an achievable goal.
In 2026, if interest from large investors continues, a ceiling of $400-500 looks realistic, and the $550+ mark only with a very strong bull market and additional positive news.
To put this information into practice, break the sale into stages rather than trying to sell everything at the very peak.
For example, you can sell in chunks at $330, $360, $390, and $420. Keep a small portion of assets in case the market reaches extreme values, such as $450+. Remember to monitor not only the price, but also the market cap, TVL, and number of active addresses, as these metrics can tell you how sustainable the growth is.
