WHO forecast for the end of the pandemic and what to expect in global markets in 2021

We're all tired of the protracted COVID-19 pandemic. Constant restrictions and mask-wearing are complicating our lives and negatively impacting our mental health.

But that's not the worst of it: the epidemic has been negatively impacting the economy for the second year running, with people losing their jobs and, with them, their livelihoods.

The coronavirus hasn't spared global markets either, with economic problems causing the value of most securities to plummet.

Against this backdrop, everyone is wondering: when will the pandemic end and the world return to normal?

Yesterday, the WHO announced an approximate date for this joyous event; experts from the World Health Organization believe the end of the pandemic should be expected in early 2022.

This will be facilitated by the distribution of vaccines and the development of immunity among the majority of the Earth's population.

That is, sadly, 2021 will also be marked by the impact of COVID-19; quarantine restrictions will not be completely lifted, and the world will still not return to normal life.

How will this situation affect the global economy?

As the current situation continues for quite some time, some stability is gradually returning to the markets.

Shares of companies affected by quarantine restrictions will continue to decline, but not as sharply as in early 2020.

A similar situation is observed with the shares of companies providing online services, only in reverse. Their shares will continue to rise throughout the year, but also without any sharp fluctuations.

Shares of companies providing online services (online stores, online services, libraries, and online cinemas) will remain the most attractive to investors throughout 2021.

Other securities, however, will experience rapid growth once travel and store restrictions are lifted. This will be a good time to buy them.

The cryptocurrency market will continue to function normally in 2021; right now, the price of Bitcoin and altcoins is influenced more by supply and demand than by the coronavirus situation. An increase in market capitalization drives prices up, while selling pushes them down.

Commodity prices will generally remain relatively low until the global economy returns to full capacity.

As has been noted many times, a crisis is also a good time to make money, especially if you know which securities to sell and which will generate profits after purchase.
