Many of us who have been in the market for more than one year can affirmatively say that the end of
2012 and the beginning of 2013 were the most progressive in terms of creating new products in the Forex world.
If we recall that period in more detail, then advisors and various systems were churned out in dozens per month, when, for example, in our time, if a couple of new products slip through a year, it’s already a joy.
Advisor Bee is one of the new products of that generation of advisors and was created in 2012 by domestic traders.
By its operating principle, the expert is a grid operator who places pending Buy Limit and Sell Limit orders. To ensure that the price during a reversal does not touch the pending orders of the opposite side, when one of the grids is triggered, the second one is deleted automatically.
If the price begins to move in the opposite direction of the grid of pending orders, then the expert begins to average the position by increasing the lot at a certain distance. Many people probably thought, so what is unique about this expert? The fact is that it has a number of special mathematical filters for entering a position, and one of them is the creation of a channel based on data from trading sessions.
In general, the Expert Advisor is not as simple as it might seem at first glance and has a wide range of settings.
Before you start working, the advisor must be installed in the MT4 trading terminal. After reading the article, download the archive with the advisor and the settings file inside. Open your terminal and go to the data directory through the file tab.
Place FX Bee in a folder called expert and restart the terminal. Next, after launching the platform, in the navigator panel, enter the list of advisors and drag the expert onto the chart with the price. A settings window will appear in front of you, which we will discuss below:
The author of this robot fully laid out all the possible settings of the expert. As I already mentioned above, the adviser works on a number of mathematical calculations, and the basis for constructing grids for entering a position are eight trading sessions.
In lines Session 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 you can disable trading sessions by changing the settings from True to False. In the Delta Price lines 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 you have the opportunity to change the offset from the session opening price.
The Take Profit line 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 indicates the profit size for each session.
In the Trading settings block, money management is configured. So the GeneralLot line is responsible for the static lot that the expert will trade.
The General Percent line is responsible for automatically calculating the lot based on the percentage of free funds in your account. The MM line indicates the multiplication factor of the initial lot, which the advisor will execute after the number of open orders with a standard lot in the LotMM line.
In general, I have listed all the main settings that you can change during optimization.
In order to make sure that the adviser is really worth attention, we decided to run it in the strategy tester with default settings, on the euro/dollar currency pair and a five-minute chart.
The test period was short, since the adviser put a lot of load on the terminal. You can see the result of the expert's work for the period 01/01/2015 to 07/1/2015 in the picture below:
Over seven months, the expert brought a deposit increase of 14 percent, with the maximum drawdown being only 6 percent. One of the active forum members also shared his report on testing the advisor on the Australian/dollar currency pair. The result of the advisor's work can be seen in the picture below:
In conclusion, I would like to note that this grid robot is suitable for trading on any currency pair and any time frame, however, before placing this miracle on a real account, it must be run in a strategy tester and the settings optimized.
