Advisor for trading on m1 FastJump

Today, the overwhelming number of trading advisors are based on various indicator trading strategies.

And if this concerns scalping then various risky models of money management such as averaging and reversal are connected to the indicators.

However, there are also simpler experts that are designed to search for a market impulse, and the direction of entry into the market depends only on the caught impulse.

These types of advisors are also commonly called grid experts, since it does not matter to them which direction the trend will move, but the very fact of the targeted movement is important.

Experts of this kind are most often used as assistants for scalping on news, when the price impulse appears a little earlier than the publication of the news itself.

Advisor for trading on m1 FastJump is a simple trading expert based on pending orders, the main task of which is to search for market impulses. The advisor does not use any indicators when analyzing the market, so you can easily optimize the robot for trading on any time frame and currency pair.

The EA was initially designed for trading on the minute chart of the EUR/USD currency pair, but in practice it is most often used as an assistant, launching the EA 5-10 minutes before the release of important news.

Installing an advisor in the MT4 trading terminal

The FastJump advisor was developed in 2012 for use in the only professional trading platform at that time, MT4, so in order to use a third-party application you will have to download the expert at the end of the article, and then install it in the trading terminal.

The installation procedure for the expert follows the standard procedure, namely, you will need to drop the downloaded file into the appropriate folder in the terminal data directory. You can access the data directory by going to the file menu in the upper left corner of the platform.

After launching the menu, you will see a list of options, among which select “Data Directory”. Next, you will see a list of system folders, among which find the folder called Expert and drop FastJump into it.

For the trading terminal to see the changes, close the data directory and restart the trading platform. After this quick procedure, FastJump will appear in the list of advisors, and in order for it to start trading, just drag it onto the chart.

Trading strategy. FastJump Settings

The FastJump advisor uses a simple indicator-free trading strategy based on pending orders. So the expert places two pending orders, a buy stop and a sell stop at a certain distance from the price.

If the price touches one of the pending orders, the second one is deleted automatically. Exit from the market occurs either by profit or by stop order. As a rule, the expert is used as an assistant, namely, it is turned on a few minutes before the release of strong market news, after which the expert is turned off.

If we talk about the settings that the author of the advisor set, then we can note that all the necessary data for optimization and reconfiguration to suit your needs is present. So in the lot line you can set the size of the volume of each position, and in the Takeprofit and Stoploss lines you can change the profit size for each position, as well as the stop order.

In line Trailing Stop you can change the size of the trailing, and in the TrailingStart line set the number of points after which the trailing of the position will begin. The StepTral variable allows you to change the trailing step in points, and the Magic line allows you to set a unique code, thanks to which the expert will not pay attention to orders opened by another advisor or you manually.

The Step variable allows you to specify the distance from the price in points at which pending orders will be placed. Since FastJump is a scalper, you can limit the maximum slippage of quotes in the slippage line at which the robot will open trades.

Testing the m1 advisor in the strategy tester

Since the robot is recommended for use on the minute chart of the euro/dollar currency pair, we decided to test it on the minute chart for the entire 2015 with default settings.

It is worth noting that the robot is designed for four-digit quotes, so for five digits you should change the parameters. So, look at the test result below:

As you can see, the advisor more than successfully passed testing with silent settings, but the profitability remained within 20 percent per annum, which is almost comparable to bank profitability.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that the FastJump advisor is designed primarily for experienced traders who can use it as an assistant in news trading.
