Robot installation
VR Smart Grid Lite is a unique novelty, since the advisor itself was created and distributed by the developer completely free of charge in 2018. It is also worth noting the fact that this robot was introduced into the official MT4 developer library, which means that you can install it in two ways.
The first method, and it is also the simplest, occurs directly through your trading terminal and built-in library.
To do this, after launching the terminal, you just need to move to the “Terminal” panel, where the latest information regarding your balance is located.
The next step is to open the “Library” tab and do a little sorting so that only advisors are displayed in the list. Find the advisor named VR Smart Grid Lite in the sorted list and use the additional menu as shown in the image below to download it.
If installation through the library fails for some reason, you can use the standard scheme.
To do this, you need to go to the end of the article and download the robot file. Then simply drop the downloaded file into the appropriate folder in your terminal's data directory, which in your case is a folder called Expert.

Settings VR Smart Grid Lite is based on a very simple and uncomplicated strategy without an indicator .
If the robot fixes a bullish candle, a buy position is opened, and if a bearish candle is detected, the advisor opens a sell position.
When the price starts to go against us, a grid algorithm with elements of martingale averaging is activated. As a result, at a given distance at the beginning of each bullish bar, the robot will open an additional buy deal with an increased lot, and use exactly the same mechanism to sell.
What is innovative here is a certain filter, namely, if the candle closes bearish, although the first trade is bullish, the robot will skip signals until a bullish candle appears, on which it can average the loss .
Thus, at the output we have not a static averaging grid, but a dynamic one.
So in the Take Profit (in pips) line you can set the profit size for the grid in points, and the Start lot variable indicates the minimum position volume, which will subsequently be increased according to the martingale if the grid is triggered.
The Point order step variable is responsible for the minimum distance between grid orders in points. The Minimal profit for close grid variable allows you to set the minimum profit value in points, upon reaching which the grid can be closed.
The Magic Number variable is responsible for the unique order code, thanks to which the robot tracks trades, and the Slippage variable is responsible for the restriction on opening positions with large slippage.
Testing the Expert Advisor
As an experiment, we traditionally decided to test the robot in a strategy tester with default settings in order to determine its potential.
