Stable Martingale: Myth or Reality?
Greetings, dear users. Today I'm posting another test of an advisor based on martingale. I've previously described the SWB expert advisor and posted a set file with its settings, so a detailed analysis of the advisor and its settings will not be discussed here.
Testing was conducted on the EUR/USD currency pair on a five-minute time frame. A demo account with $10,000 was opened to simulate trading on a cent account with a $100 deposit.
The Expert Advisor testing began on May 27, 2015, and ended on June 10, 2015. Roughly speaking, the testing lasted for two weeks. I'd like to point out that a dedicated server was used for testing, and the Expert Advisor was available in the market 24/7. The results for the past two weeks can be seen in the image below:
During testing, the advisor met all expectations. Considering that the past two weeks have been anything but calm, with the EUR/USD pair moving up 250 pips with virtually no pullbacks. I'd also like to point out that thanks to the unique position opening strategy, most trades were closed without averaging at the target profit. The maximum drawdown was 4.22 percent, and the profit over two weeks reached 13 percent of the deposit.
