TOPGUN – stability deserved by time!
Greetings dear readers. Following the old tradition, I decided to post the result of testing the next expert. In this case, our team came under the hot hand of a unique development from Japanese experts, the TOPGUN advisor .

Despite the age of the expert, whose date of birth is the end of 2010, he uses a very simple algorithm for entering a position, which is based on the well-known Bollinger Bands.
If the expert experiences a loss, the martingale is triggered, which turns the expert's work into profit. This simple approach was very interesting to our team, and even more so to the results of the preliminary test in the strategy tester.
To simulate real conditions, it was decided to test the Expert Advisor on a demo account. For this purpose, an account was opened that simulates the minimum requirements of an expert for its stable operation. The adequacy of the test can be guaranteed by the fact that the advisor was on the server, which allowed it to trade around the clock.
Testing began on the euro/dollar currency pair on June 22, 2015 on a fifteen-minute time frame. The test itself was completed on July 8, 2015. In general, the test lasted two weeks, including weekends. The test result is shown in the picture below:
If we consider the testing results in detail, we can highlight the expert’s high profit, which amounted to 11 percent of the deposit. During this short test period, the expert managed to close 47 transactions, with the winning percentage being 87 percent of the total, and only 12 percent of transactions were unprofitable.
This tells us that the strategy included in the advisor is profitable and relevant at this time, since the martingale worked quite rarely, and most positions were closed at profit from the first position. Another significant factor that is worth highlighting is the maximum drawdown, which amounted to two percent.
I believe that the test results speak for themselves. The percentage of profit was five times higher than the drawdown, which is a good indicator among experts of this kind.
