TOPGUN – stability deserved by time!
Greetings dear readers. Following the old tradition, I decided to post the result of testing the next expert. In this case, our team came under the hot hand of a unique development from Japanese experts, the TOPGUN advisor .

Despite the age of the expert, whose date of birth is the end of 2010, he uses a very simple algorithm for entering a position, which is based on the well-known Bollinger Bands.
If the expert advisor incurs a loss, a martingale is triggered, turning the expert advisor into a profit. This simple approach really interested our team, especially the results of the preliminary test in the strategy tester.
To simulate real-world conditions, it was decided to test the expert advisor on a demo account. An account was opened that simulates the expert advisor's minimum requirements for stable operation. The adequacy of the test can be ensured by the fact that the expert advisor was running on a server, allowing it to trade 24/7.
Testing began on the EUR/USD currency pair on June 22, 2015, using a 15-minute time frame. The test itself concluded on July 8, 2015. Overall, the test lasted two weeks, including the weekend. The test results are shown in the image below:
A closer look at the testing results reveals the expert's high profit, amounting to 11 percent of the deposit. During this short testing period, the expert managed to close 47 trades, with a winning percentage of 87 percent, and only 12 percent of trades losing.
This tells us that the strategy embedded in the advisor is profitable and relevant to this day, as the martingale rarely worked, and most positions were closed profitably from the very first position. Another significant factor worth highlighting is the maximum drawdown, which was two percent.
I believe the test results speak for themselves. The profit percentage was five times higher than the drawdown, which is a good result for this type of expert advisor. I believe the expert advisor has proven its stability, so our team can confidently recommend it for use on a real account, with a minimum deposit of $100 on a cent account .
