Since the main focus of the expert’s work is on the martingale, Avto Profit can essentially be used on any time frame and currency pair, the only thing that is necessary is to optimize for certain market conditions on a particular asset.
Installing the Avto Profit advisor
In order to conduct your own testing, as well as put the Avto Profit advisor into practice, you will first need to download the expert file at the end of the article, and then install it into the MT4 trading platform.
Installing the Avto Profit advisor is practically no different from installing any other robot, namely, you will need to drop the downloaded expert file into the appropriate folder in the data directory.
You can access the data directory by launching the file menu and selecting “Open data directory” from the list of offered options. By launching the data directory, you will see a list of platform system folders, among which find a folder called Expert.
Drop the downloaded file inside the folder, then close the data directory. In order for the terminal to see the installed advisor, you need to update it in the navigator panel, or simply restart your trading platform.
After restarting the terminal, Avto Profit will appear in the list of advisors, and in order for it to start trading, just drag its name onto the chart of any currency pair you have chosen.

Avto Profit Advisor is a modernized Ilan, whose algorithm and strategy have been streamlined. The Expert Advisor is based on a very simple indicator-free strategy based on a comparison of the closing prices of bars.
So the expert considers the two bars preceding the signal candle and if the closing price is higher than the previous two, the expert will open a buy position. If the closing price of the signal bar is lower than the previous two, the expert will open a sell position.
After opening a position, the advisor closes the order for profit, and if the price goes against the position, Avto Profit begins to average the loss using a series of martingale orders.
If we talk about the expert settings, the developers tried to make them as understandable as possible for ordinary traders by signing the blocks in Russian.
So in the MMType block you can both enable and disable the use of martingale in the advisor. The LotMultiplicator variable is responsible for the lot multiplication coefficient when martingale is enabled, and you can set the distance between open orders in the Step line.
The LotConst or not variable enables dynamic calculation of the lot, which will change as the balance grows. So, if you select True, the expert will open a position with a certain percentage of the deposit, which you can set in the RiskPercent line.
If you disable dynamic lot, then the expert will open the first one only with the volume that you specify in the Lots line.
The TakeProfit variable allows you to set the desired profit in points, and the MaxTrades variable is responsible for limiting the maximum number of simultaneously open orders. The advisor also provides the ability to record a loss when a certain drawdown occurs on the deposit.
So, in order to activate this feature, select True in the UseEquityStop line, and in the TotalEquityRisk line, do not forget to set the maximum drawdown as a percentage of the deposit.
Testing the robot in the strategy tester
In order to get an objective picture of the effectiveness and prospects of the Avto Profit advisor, we decided to test it in the strategy tester for the entire 2016.
According to the creators of Avto Profit, the robot is effective on a five-minute chart of the Euro/Dollar currency pair, so our choice fell on it. All settings are default. The test result is shown below:
In conclusion, it is worth noting that the Avto Profit advisor is capable of bringing constant profit to the trader, subject to constant control over it.
Remember Martingale always drains sooner or later, but with proper control and understanding of the operating algorithm, you can withdraw your deposit many times.
